At Milestone Infrastructure, we strive for excellence in a friendly, fun and respectful culture where everyone can bring their whole self to work regardless of their life story.
Our senior leadership team and I are breaking down barriers so that our people, as well as those who are considering joining our business, know they will be valued for who they are.
So, how are we creating this inclusive culture?
We’re an open business, seeking new and better ways of exceeding expectations. I’m proud to see fantastic initiatives, from partnering with local charities to provide internships for students with disabilities and jobs for ex-offenders, to our Military Accelerated Programme (MAP), which has supported a number of Ex-Armed Forces personnel join our business over the last 12 months.
We currently have an Inclusion Network, Women’s Network and Pride Network made up of allies from across all areas of our business who, individually and together have created some great initiatives which reach into the communities where we work. We also have a trained network of Inclusion Allies, and every one of our employees has attended our interactive Conscious Inclusion workshop.
Looking ahead, we’re introducing new initiatives as we continue to deliver safer, greener highways to our people and the communities in which we operate and, whilst I realise there’ is a long way to go, I’m excited about what we have already achieved and what we will achieve in the future.
In a recent survey, our people said:
“At Milestone, the culture is very engaging. It inspires, energises and motivates. I feel happy like I belong here. I am ‘home’”
“ The best thing about working at Milestone is the great team I work with and the diverse workforce.”
“ Milestone is a very supportive business and allows everyone to speak about their ideas or the way they feel.”
