For the second consecutive year, Mental Health and Wellbeing charity, Touchstone, ranked in the top 3 on the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List, placing third, demonstrating exceptional representation across all protected characteristics at Senior Management, Executive and Board levels. Founded in 1982, this Leeds-based charity was established in response to the growing number of vulnerable people feeling isolated and distressed. Today, Touchstone provides services to over 10,000 people per year, operating throughout Yorkshire, and providing a wide range of mental health and wellbeing services, from preventative to intensive.

With over 250 employees, the charity understands that it holds a unique position as a major community service provider. They have demonstrated a strong commitment to sharing their resources, knowledge, and influence with smaller, grassroots organisations. A few of the accolades they currently hold include being accredited Investors in People Platinum (2022 winner of the national Investors in People Platinum Award), accredited Investors in Volunteers and a top 20 Stonewall “Gold” employer.

Touchstone’s strong submission and impressive statistics showcased phenomenal commitment to diversity across various topics including recruitment, training, community initiatives, employee engagement and mentoring schemes. The evidence provided is a testament to Touchstone’s passion and determination to put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of the charity, and a position high on the list is most certainly warranted.
